Since setting a beautiful table is my favorite hobby. I do my best to collect dishes and table linens that can be interchanged to create a scene each time.
This creation is ‘Ladies Brunch’… Recently held in my own backyard.
It’s fun meeting with friends you enjoy! This was an August brunch, of course the setting!…alfresco.! A beautiful sunny day with a shady spot on the deck (which was formerly a pool deck) the table was placed under the trees. On this day a cool breeze was enough to keep us comfortable while we shared stories and laughed over coffee. I provided an array of simple breakfast foods such as fresh cut fruit, yogurt, homemade granola, pastries and quiche, to make a fuss free brunch.
The table was set with pale turquoise melamine plates (ballarddesigns) place mats from pottery barn that resembled the fine net of sea (potterybarn). The napkins were a plaid of blue and yellow which accented the sunflower touches of napkin rings and sunflowers were everywhere.
Early morning libations were Mimosa’s made of simple orange juice, sparkling wine champagne with a touch of chambourd and all were served in tall stemware.
A brunch delight for all.
